Seafood galore!

Crayfish yesterday,

Crab today.

I'm going on a seafood spree.

If this is pre-Chinese New Year,

Then I really don't know what to expect when CNY comes.

HAHA.

But seafood is bliss.

I'm glad I'm not allergic to sea creatures. (:

Looking forward to CNY

It's round the corner!

I got my new year clothes ready,

I got my mood ready.

I'm just waiting for it to come.

Please let me get more ang pows so that it can supplement for my OKC trip.

Please let me complete my PR assignment before CNY.

The things people say

Sometimes before you tell someone something,

You have to judge the situation at that point in time AND,

The situation the person is in.

You come telling me you are poor when you live in a landed property.

Hello? The person here is about $10 000+++ in debt and you tell me you are poor.

I gotta work my ass off to pay off my stupid debt and work for my own allowance,

And you? Doing charity.

How ironic.

WTF.
yes Yes YES!

Today marks the end of advertising campaign planning & management,

After a huge assignment and now that the paper is over,

I suddenly feel I'm as light as a feather.

But...

Public Relations assignment is up next.

Haiz.

Cravings!

I know I sound like I'm pregnant,

I'm not.

But these cravings ALWAYS come,

Especially before exams.

- Fried Chicken Wings
- Curly Fries
- Jack & Jill Potato Chips
- Bubble Tea with Pearls
- Chicken Rice
- Popiah
- BBQ Stingray
- Sambal Sotong
- Yong Tau Foo
...

The thing is, you cannot eat so many things at one go.

*pout*

But potato chips is coming back for supper,

And I'm gonna have fried chicken wings for dinner.

Yay.

It's weird

How come it's the few days before the exams that I'm most free to blog?

Okay, I know I should be using this time to study.

Suddenly I just feel so free. HAHA.
Despite all those busy schedules...

There's always time for ice-cream,

Cam-whoring,

With the besties....

Serene Chan...

And RP!

And some time for playing the fool...

I love my besties.

I'm done!!

39 pages, 6431 words, 2.8MB file.

I finished my assignment, finally.
In the midst of typing...

While I'm busily having typing diarrhoea,

And once in a while I open my MSN messenger to check for emails,

I suddenly find myself super poked in facebook by my classmates.

Haha, perhaps they are like me,

Just taking a break on facebook to superpoke people,

Like how I take breaks my opening my email inbox,

And finding online contacts to chat with.

A different perspective

I myself find it amazing how I refuse to jaywalk nowadays,

Even when there are no cars to be seen on the roads.

Maybe it's because I'm a worrier.

The thought of getting knocked down by a car,

Just 10 months before I graduate is too hard to imagine.

Goes to show how much a person can change,

When he/she is put to the test,

And when he/she is just so close to his/her dream.
Being Busy is Good, Sometimes.

Well buzz buzz buzz, as busy as a bee.

It gets you all tired at the end of the day,

With lesser time to blog.

But sometimes, it's a good thing,

Because your day is used up to the fullest.

No time is wasted, well, except for traveling time that is.

Can't really be helped since I like to stone while traveling,

Instead of reading or doing my work.
-------------------
Had my half day at AIA Changi for Club Officers' Training for Toastmasters,

Managed to use about 1.5 hours to do some of my assignment.

Then went to Kalyn's 21st birthday thingy at Downtown East.

Cam whored like Kalyn-style, again.
--------------------
Sometimes when I see families taking pictures together,

Mixed feelings overcome me.

Flash backs come.

Inspirations and motivations come.

Can't really explain what goes on mentally,

But it's those type of mixed feelings,

Both inspired yet it reminds me of not-so-nice memories.
------------------
After a long day, time to put some thoughts into words,

Time to have a long night chat with a buddy whom I haven't talked to in ages.

Well, those 1am - 3am calls are missed, my pal.

Busy Buzzy Bumble Bee is Back

Yup, busy is the word to the question, how are you?

Once again, everything is coming my way,

But all is good and I'm coping well,

Just a lil' drained at the end of the day,

And just lazy to put thoughts into words.

Just like yesterday (16 Jan 08),

I met Cheryl in the morning at 10am to help me with my ads,

Met Serene at 1pm to buy something and went back to my secondary school,

Hanged around till about 4pm and then had late-lunch.

Then it was time to head home to prepare for an evaluation workshop at 7.30pm,

And I had a dinner date at 6.30pm.

My workshop ended at 10.30pm, had supper,

Only got home at 12.15am.

Long long day.

But almost every hour was spent to the fullest. (:

Happy Birthday Jerald!
Bet this would be unforgettable,

Having your birthday cake and song in a BAK KUT TEH shop! Haha.

Too bad you were not up on the reverse bungee,

That would be fun. *Sniggers*

Some 4 years later (in 2008)

These are the days...

I still have a fun and crazy class.

Just that we no longer wear a uniform.

How fast time has passed.

Monday, January 07, 2008

Those were the days

I was looking at My Pictures folder,

And it reminds me of the really good and fun days I had.

Here's one from my first 3 months at Millenia Institute in 2004,

With a crazy class.

And the planning starts now!

Yup, planning for the trip to OKC starts now.

Checking out the place we're staying,

Winter wear, air tix etc etc.

You don't wanna scramble last minute,

Or buy all your stuff last minute.

I'm getting so excited hearing what every lecturer says about OKC.

I can't wait!

And I'm doing this in the midst of assignments, right Ying Ying (aka Joanna)?

Back to work

After back-to-school,

Now it's back-to-tuition for me.

Since school term has started, tuition is ongoing full fledged.

I'm tutoring 5 days a week, 3 students.

Not too bad, the 2 days rest however,

One goes to Toastmasters,

The other to exams/lectures/tutorials if they fall on that day.

And shopping day if I can afford the energy.

So it's money-rolling-in time!

Friday, January 04, 2008

I am a good girl

Today I went for my tutorial.

I was there 10 minutes before 9am,

And left at 9.30am because there was nothing to do and the tutor said we could go.

I was home by 10.20am.

Now, tell me if tutorials are useful.

Thursday, January 03, 2008

*Pulls ears*

Okayyyy, I was naughty today.

I slept through the tutorial,

On my bed till 1pm.

I shall be a good girl again tomorrow and be in class before 9am as usual.

More shopping on New Year's Day

What is better than having dim sum for brunch on New Year's Day,

Followed by more shopping in town?

Yup, last days of 2007 shopping & eating,

First day of 2008 shopping & eating.

I'm becoming a pig shopper.

Happy New Year guys!

May 2008 be a fantastic, wonderful and terrific year for you,

Where all dreams, hopes and wishes come true.
Resolutions?

I looked at my last entry in 2006 whether I made any new year resolutions.

I did not.

In fact, I mentioned that I shan't make resolutions because it's hard to fulfill them,

Instead, I would make changes as the time comes.

Well, I did maintain my grades and attended every lecture/tutorial.

I read a few good books here and there.

Spent more time with mum.

I think that's good enough.

I shall not make any resolutions for 2008 similarly,

Then I wouldn't have to think about them when December 2008 comes.

Don't stress yourself with resolutions,

You know what you need to correct/amend/make changes to.

Do them as you see them coming,

Then reflect at the end of the year.

That would make you feel better and prouder for what you have done on your own,

Not just for the sake of 'RESOLUTIONS'.

May 2008 be a fantastic year for you and me,

Where dreams, hopes and wishes come true.
Bye to 2007, Hello to 2008

As we always say,

The year passed with the blink of an eye.

How true, how true.

Looking back at 2007,

It was a good start after 3 months at my present school,

Treated my work seriously, got due credit for my modules.

Got my advanced diploma with suave grades.

While finances did get a lil' tough with all expenses,

Including repaying my own education loan,

Tuition assignments and babysitting jobs came and went,

And I got it through, with enough spare cash to shop.

It ain't that bad to tutor 6 days a week with 5 students,

When you know you need the job and you can actually manage your time well.
---------------
In Toastmasters, got up to the post of Vice President Education,

Which took more of my personal time away,

Tested my planning skills and my patience to the limit,

But juggling speaking and planning can be a killer.

I achieved my Competent Communicator award,

Now on my way to achieving my Advanced Competent Bronze award.

Had fun, had tears, had my speaking skills upped.

Attended a semi-annual convention, met great speakers,

Became motivated and inspired myself.
---------------
I also had myself into the Youth Executive Committee at a community club,

Joined as an executive member, got promoted to assistant general secretary.

Took away 3 hours of my time every month,

Potentially gonna take more away this year.
---------------
Personally, discovered myself and my personality more,

Spoke even more little this year.

I'm a lady of a few words.

I realized that I can take more pressure than I imagined,

Even when everything comes crashing at the same time,

I may cry, but after resting,

Getting up again isn't very difficult although it can be tiring.

Many ask, "I wonder how you can juggle so many things."

Reply: "You will learn to manage your time,

Because juggling means you must become more disciplined."

Met up with Rui Ping quite a lot, had fun shopping and eating,

Talking about future plans.

My brother had his wedding, now moved out.

There are also plans on doing my master's degree in US in the next couple of years,

If everything goes well.

There were significant moments, both good and bad,

But they all count as memories, as life experiences.

2007 was a great year, bet 2008 would be better.
